THE STORY

He began his career in the nuclear industry at Tractebel, where he was responsible for projects for Belgian nuclear power plants (2 plants, 7 units). In 2019, he joined Lab Box, the incubator of D'Ieteren – the exclusive importer of the Volkswagen group in Belgium – which was developing innovative mobility solutions and managing 12 start-ups in various fields (car-sharing, fleet management, HR platforms for mobility management, bike leasing, consulting). Among these, Ush had the mission to deploy autonomous vehicles as a local partner for technology providers.

Since 2019, he has participated in all deployments of autonomous shuttles in Belgium, with a total of 120,000 km traveled and approximately 200,000 passengers transported, covering all phases – site analysis, deployment, training, operations, supervision, support, and maintenance. As a freelance consultant for the past year, he now collaborates with Espaces-Mobilités (notably for the Mobility Masterclass program, supported by EIT Urban Mobility) and with EasyMile, supporting operations at Terhills, where a fleet of 5 autonomous shuttles operates 7 days a week without onboard operators.
